You can upload images in WordPress in two ways:
i) Through the Post or Page edit screen:
If you are writing a post and want to insert an image, you can directly click on “Add Media” option to upload the images to your WordPress post.
ii) You can directly upload images to “Media library” and use them later in your post or pages.
To do that simply click on “Media” followed by “Add new”.
There you have to click on “Select files” to choose images from your computer that you want to upload.
2. How to Align Images to Left, Right or center in WordPress?
You might have wanted to wrap text around the images.
This can be done by alignment features.
While uploading the image you will get an option to align an image before inserting in your post or page.
Alternatively, you can use the align button using the image toolbar right inside the post editor.
To do that, click on the image, then on the top side you will get alignment button, choose the desired place to adjust the alignment.
3. How to add captions and Alt text to the images?
Adding caption will give a brief idea to your visitors about the images you have used.
However, adding Alt Text will improve the SEOof the website. And it is recommended to use Alt Text for your images.
You can add those details while uploading the images on your WordPress website (for reference see the screenshot below).
You can also add Title, Captions, Alt Text and description to existing images by editing the image.
4. How to make an image gallery?
Making an image gallery is a bit trickier than simply adding the images to your post.
If you have had added multiple images, you would have noticed that all those images will appear one after another.
It doesn’t look great, and your users will have to scroll a lot to view them all.
To overcome from this problem you need to create a gallery, which will display images in a grid layout with columns and rows.
